Kenya Police Service Recruitment 2011

Recruitment of officers into the Administration Police and Kenya Police Services had been put on hold late 2009.

This was to pave way for police reforms and for the Government to review the police training program.
Kenya's Administration Police Officers
The temporary ban was lifted around August 2010.

It was then announced that the Police would to take up  around 7000 new recruits but it didn't happen.

With Police recruitment not taking place last year, I reckon it might happen early this year.

This prediction can be supported by the fact that the year has started with Kenya Wildlife Service conducting its Rangers recruitment exercise.

An anonymous reader also left a comment stating that police recruitment is expected to take place early this year.
                                                                                Kenya Police Service Officers
2011 Kenya Police Service recruitment is expected to be in line with the new police reforms.

The Administration police and Kenya police recruits shall train  under a newly reviewed training program.

The training period has also been extended from 9 to 15 months.

i feel that recruits should be considered according to the potential they possess regardless of age, whats important is the capability wisdom and God given purpose, most important is Education in relevant field not just anyone who has a paper but somebody whose fit of the fitest who does not strugggle in line of duty.Hope after realizing what im born to do ,now that im 26 i belive i'll be recruted age should not be a limit to somebody who is fit for the job.

  13. "Kenya police service should recruit trained & disciplined youth from N.Y.S"said by someone is not just the case.because recruitment of the fourth form leavers should be given a priority to reduce the crime cases.NOTE that N.Y.S will not accommodate all the four four leavers.

  14. Kenya police shouldgo for those wno have shown interest in that proffession by taking either a certificate, diploma or degree course inthe following police related carreers.Forensic Science,Crime management and prevention,Counselling psychology,Criminology,Public Adninstration and Political science,Sociology and Disaster management.Indeed with this, kenya police reform team will realize a proffessionalm police service they have been striving for.

  18. recruit experts to meet ur reforms not forgeting information technology whether degree, diploma or certificate to help implement change. Age is jst but a number. Consider substance in an individual

  19. some have tried the recruitment for all disciplined forces for more than five year yet they have the qualification only to be denied chances and they see those who are unfit join yet some of this people even had no interest in the job but due to influence they take the job only to do it in a very unpleasant manner i hope that this time you avoid the whom i know gets it for then police force will remain a shame if possible recruit c plain grades and above rather than the taking those who cant record a crime statement

  34. Come up with programmes that can be accessed by over 26 and other peoples, I would have loved to serve the police or military, in Intelligence capacities but due to limiting factors that was not possible.
In other countries all people of able body and will have some type of access to military or police service. This gap needs to be considered and permanently left open.
    Half-salute

  35. i think the disciplined forces shld take & put into consideration the youth specialiced in different ICT courses like Networking,USB,Web design,Cisco, programming e.t.c instead of us just getting wasted sitting in classes year in year out

  48. BEYOND FORM FOUR LEAVERS SHOULD BE CONSIDERD FIRST IN THE RECRUITMENT!!!!! IMAGINE OF A JOBLESS UNIVERSITY GRADUATE IN A FIELD WITH A FRESH 2010 FORM FOUR LEAVER YET WAT THE RECRUITING OFFICER ASK 4 IS JUST A FORM FOUR CERT? SI FAIR. JUSTICE SHOULD BE DONE.. SCOUTING CERTS SHOULD ALSO BE AN ADDED ADVANTAGE, NOT JUST INDICATED BUT LOOKED AT IN THE RECRUITING PROCESS. SCOUTS R LOYAL...

    ReplyDelete
  49. Then why not just present your form 4 certificate during recruitment?

    ReplyDelete
  50. Whatever reforms the committee has come up with we will adhere to.The police force is no longer a job for failures like it use to be but a career since some of us developed a passion to work in the forces since childhood, time when neither of us knew whether we were failures or achievers. So thorough interviews should be conducted save for the on going physical checkups.
